In this session, Andrea will discuss how land use policies impact the ability to create new housing units in Toronto's traditional low rise neighborhoods. The discussion will provide insights from the point of view of a developer and offer strategies to allow gentle intensification to occur while preserving the overall character of the area.
Andrea Oppedisano is an urban planner in Toronto who started her career in 2007 with the City of Toronto. She has worked on a number significant projects including the Avenue & Mid-Rise Buildings Study, Eglinton Connects and Growing Up: Planning for Children in Vertical Communities. In 2018, she began working as Development Manager for Streetcar Developments.
