Our Venue - 1300 Gerrard St. East

Our venue is The Redwood Theatre, a studio space, popup cafe, & co-working centre for artists, performers, inventors, and innovators in the art, tech, and entertainment industries.

Via public transit: The Gerrard St. streetcar makes frequent trips directly in front of the theatre. If coming the west, take the Dundas, Queen or King streetcar. The Greenwood or Donlands subway stops are nearest on the Bloor St. subway.

What is Central?

Central is a non-partisan, expert-led conference about improving Toronto's communities by examining systemic urban and civic issues like transit, housing, policing and politics.

Who is the organizer?

Central is a new, non-partisan event organized by Ben Myers, a professional event organizer and Parkdale resident. Check out our about page for more info.

Who is speaking?

Central brings experts from academia, community groups, urban planning, government agencies and property developers together with residents to discuss systemic urban issues and ways to improve our city.

Are kids welcome?

Kids under 12 are welcome and can attend for free. Please check the box when you register and bring lots of toys and snacks if needed.

What about lunch?

In order to keep Central ticket price as low as possible, lunch is not included in the ticket price. Our venue is surrounded by awesome food options in walking distance.
